Current initiatives

We're always looking for better ways to do business. This often means harnessing new technologies and trialling dynamic ways of delivering to customers and working with suppliers. So if you've got any ideas on how we can do things better, let us know.

 

Just a couple of our latest logistics initiatives are:

ITM (Integrated Transport Management) solution
A project we're piloting in our North West area with aggregate and asphalt deliveries. It involves implementing a complete suite of supply chain tools, including sourcing, production capacity planning, vehicle dynamic scheduling and novel GPS positioning capability. It means we can manage all our supply chain resources in real time to respond to the market, our customers and of course, the weather.

VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) development
Allowing suppliers to manage transport and deliveries more efficiently, with the intention of using customer and supplier resources more effectively.
